What is this App?

A lightweight Windows desktop application that connects to the YouTube Data API v3 using your own API key and extracts complete channel and video metadata directly to your local system as a CSV file.

No third-party servers. No cloud storage. No subscriptions. No internet connection required beyond the YouTube API call itself.

What Data It Fetches

Channel Information:

• Channel ID, Title, Custom URL, Country, Creation Date
• Subscriber Count, Total Views, Video Count
• Thumbnails, Keywords, Branding Settings
• Uploads Playlist ID, Privacy Status, Topic Categories

Per-Video Information (all videos on the channel):

• Video ID, Title, Description, Tags, Category
• Publish Date, Duration, Dimension, Definition
• View Count, Like Count, Comment Count
• Thumbnail URLs (Default, Medium, High, Standard, Maxres)
• Privacy Status, License, Embeddable flag, Made For Kids flag
• Topic Categories, Recording Details, Player Embed Code

How It Works

1. You enter your own YouTube Data API Key (generated from your own Google Cloud Console account)
2. You enter a channel — by URL, @handle, Channel ID, or name
3. The app queries the YouTube Data API v3 directly from your machine
4. Data is displayed in a live preview table inside the app
5. You select which fields you want and export to a CSV file saved on your local system

Privacy & Security Facts

• No data is sent to any third-party server — ever
• No database, no cloud, no backend — the app has zero server-side components
• Your API key stays on your machine — it is never transmitted anywhere except directly to Google's API endpoint (googleapis.com)
• No user accounts, no login, no registration required
• All output files are saved locally on your own computer at a path you choose
• The app makes outbound HTTPS requests only to Google APIs — no other network calls
• No telemetry, no analytics, no tracking of any kind is built into the app

Technical Notes

• API quota consumption is minimal — uses only channels.list, playlistItems.list, and videos.list endpoints, each costing 1 quota unit per call
• Default daily API quota of 10,000 units is sufficient for extracting hundreds of videos per day
